Makovsky + Company announced today Marian Cutler has joined the firm as senior vice president in its Health Practice. A veteran healthcare specialist, Cutler brings nearly 20 years of experience in biopharma corporate and product communications.

Cutler brings to Makovsky clients experience in managing marketing-communications campaigns for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical insurance companies. She has directed programs across a broad range of therapeutic areas, including neurology, cardiology, diabetes, respiratory, psychiatry, arthritis and gastrointestinal disorders.

Prior to joining Makovsky, Cutler served as senior vice president for New York-based BMC Communications. She was also vice president, corporate communications for Eurand Pharmaceuticals, addressing marketing communications and milestone-related brand issues.
Her previous work also includes serving as vice president, corporate communications for Health Net, Inc., where she led internal and external communications, and as executive director with Novartis Pharmaceuticals, leading their respiratory, gastrointestinal and transplant portfolios.
