Benefits of Being Married

We may great employment verification and everything else is okay when it comes to living alone. Our careers are booming and so far so good, we see ourselves happier without a spouse. However a great job and a great single life seem to be outdone by those who are married, especially when it concerns health. Here are the benefits that married people get.
1. Less likely to develop diabetes. Women with higher glucose reading are most seen with those that live alone. It seems that those with partners are much more controlled and don't end up with full blown diabetes.
2. They don't gain hypertension. According to a background check done by Brigham University, those that are happily married have the healthiest blood pressure levels. The unhappy couples had the worst readings or those that end up living alone due to divorce.
3. They don't drink and smoke too much. Those who are married seem to have control over vices especially with the help of their spouses. Usually a person who is divorced, single or widowed are most likely to get into such vices more. In addition the spouse tends to be a part of the other’s support group thus giving further motivation not to linger to these vices. They became conscious of their health.
4. Had lesser chances of premature death. Those who are never married have 58 percent chances of likely dying early.
Such findings may be a big surprise to many of us; however when it comes to choosing as to whether we'll end up married or not is all up to us. We have three options regarding the lives we like to live in the future: a married life, a religious life or a single blessedness. Each has a certain responsibility. We just need to figure out where we can be the happiest. Remember that happiness is also part of being the healthiest we can be.
